Hi there, I’m Connie Butera — Owner, Operator, Lead Wedding Officiant, and the heart behind Perfectly Planned Parties & Officiating.
For more than 15 years, I have had the pleasure of working in the event planning and hospitality world, planning and coordinating everything from intimate private celebrations to large-scale corporate events, weddings, conferences, trade shows, fundraisers, expos, surprise parties, and destination events. Before building my own company, I worked with one of the top event agencies in York Region, where I gained invaluable experience managing high-level events, working with well-known brands, and learning the importance of professionalism, organization, creativity, and calm under pressure.
What began as a passion for creating beautiful, meaningful events has grown into a full-service planning, coordination, and officiating company that I am so proud to lead today.
In 2023, I also became a full-time Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. This professional transition has deeply influenced the way I now show up for couples — not only as an event professional, but as someone who understands relationships, communication, emotion, family dynamics, and the significance of life’s biggest milestones. It has naturally led me to focus more deeply on officiating and supporting couples in new and meaningful ways, while still serving weddings as a whole through the incredible coordination and planning support of my team.
As the Owner and Operator of Perfectly Planned Parties & Officiating, my role has evolved beyond planning every event myself. Today, I focus on leading and supporting our amazing team of coordinators, planners, assistants, and officiants, ensuring that every couple and client receives the same level of care, detail, and professionalism that this company was built on. I remain deeply involved in the overall client experience, team training, event systems, ceremony planning, and making sure our standards remain high from the first inquiry to the final send-off.
I am also proud to serve as our Lead Wedding Officiant. As an ordained Pastoral Chaplain and licensed wedding officiant in Ontario, I have the honour of marrying couples across the province and creating ceremonies that feel personal, heartfelt, and true to each love story. Whether it is a full wedding ceremony, an intimate legal signing, a vow renewal, or a custom love story ceremony, I believe every couple deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
My heart has always been with weddings. I love the emotion, the details, the timelines, the problem-solving, and the magic of seeing everything come together. I also have a special place in my heart for couples who are budget-conscious, hands-on, or adding DIY touches to their day. I truly believe that a beautiful wedding is not about how much you spend — it is about how intentionally everything comes together.

I often say that hiring us is like hiring the best friend you wish you had on your wedding day — the one who knows the plan, fixes the problems, keeps everyone on track, and makes sure you can actually enjoy the moment.
